These few words are in gratitude for what i have learnt so far and for what i will learn in the weeks to come at your dog obedience training classes. After deciding to have a flatcoat retriver puppy i was absolutely determined to have a dog that i could take anywhere and would be properly trained, so i found out about POSH PETS.This class allows the puppies to mix & socialise and learn the basic commands, in a kind and reward based way.
Heather  has a wealth of knowledge, to answer our questions, and give help, and through practice we realise the thrill of having a dog that reacts to us in a happy way and is a pleasure to be with.

I would just like to say how happy I am with this training club at only £5 per lesson with a highly qualified trainer its brilliant. My GSD Alfie loves going to the classes and is doing very well, it is a really friendly club and Heather has an obvious love of animals.

If you are  serious about training your dog , this is the club for you.GREAT TRAINERS, competent in their job. We had our GSD working well in a few lessons. Many thanks, John Wesley.

1 The training is excellent value for money. What can you get for a
fiver these days that will help you and your companion animal
   learn together to live together.

2 The one thing that is important is approachability and in this
respect Heather and Chic always have time and indeed encourage
questions. A good and knowledgeable owner leads to a good and
obedient dog.

3 The results are coming without doubt but it would be foolish to
think after 1 or 2 lessons the dog will be trained. The trainers are
dog people
not miracle workers. So make sure you give your dog a chance to
improve- or else.

4 Because all the dog owners are learners there is a great willingness
to share and learn from each other for the sake of our dogs.

I am delighted with this Training Club for Dogs in Tranent. There are a number of Staffordshire Bull Terriers in the Club, which is excellent. They are a lovely breed and need socialising with other dogs, and what better than to mix with other dogs during training. They are a much maligned breed, which is so sad since they love people, and children in particular.
Heather has had a Staffie herself, and it lived with her family to a good old age. She understands the breed.

Hi Heather,
 puppy and beginners classes -
I find the training very good value for money.  I once went to another local dog training class and was very dissappointed after having to pay my annual fee up front    and then finding after about the 3rd week that I thought the class was hopeless and very poorly run.  It was almost impossible to hear what the trainers were saying over the chaos of everything else!  I have gone to a number of training clubs over the years and can honestly say that this is the best value for money and also best run training club I have ever been to.
I find the trainers  very approachable and give excellent advice and the club is also very informative.

I don't go to class now, but when I did, I found a big difference in my dog.  My dog has a mind of her own and is a little menace but it was a great help in class when the trainers noticed her `talking back' and helped me deal with it. My dog is quite unsociable with other dogs and this club and the excellent trainers really helped her although I find her slipping back into her old ways so wouldn't hesitate in going back to the club for help and would also very much consider the individual lessons to help me/her beforehand.
The club is very friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends.  I find it difficult to mix but found it a very sociable club.

Although Holly was not my first dog and I had originally intended to train her myself I am very glad I got you involved. The one to one sessions were very useful in guiding me through better methods and I certainly saw quicker progress than  with previous dogs. In some ways I wish I had taken her to the communal puppy class for socialisation  but the meetings with Storm made up for that.

rsz daisy 1st birthday 244-1-Heathers classes have done wonders for my dog Daisy.  I started off at the puppy class and am now at  intermediate and she actually won best beginner which was brilliant.  Daisy loves the class and it has made a real difference in her behaviour, she is well behaved around other dogs, can walk off the lead and to heel really well. The class has helped me so much as this is my first dog and i didnt really know how to train her but got loads of help and advice at the class.  Daisy's favorite class though is the outdoor training days down in East Lothian .  It gives the dogs a chance to run around and play after the class and burn of loads of energy and they all really enjoy it - its briliant to watch them all playing together and loving it.

"I have enjoyed Heather's classes which greatly helped me teach my dog manners from puppy stage.  She is always kind enough to consider each dog's individual needs."

I attended Heather's puppy classes and also 1-2-1 lessons with my Miniature Schnauzer puppy Rufus who is now a delight thanks to the lessons. Rufus was just an over excited puppy and I was an amateur dog owner. Heather really helped me to see that Rufus was a great puppy who wanted to learn and I just I needed  to get good at training him. The puppy classes are a must for socialisation - just the right number of dogs and really keen and helpful trainers. The 1-2-1 lessons were a great addition to the puppy classes if like myself you need that extra guidance. I would definitely recommend the classes and 1-2-1 lessons to any puppy owner.

"Fyrish is a rescue dog from the Dogs Trust. He had never been socialised as a puppy and was about 1 yr old when we adopted him. When we first took him for walks on the lead he would become extremely excited to see other dogs and start barking and lunging in such a way that other dog owners thought he was vicious. He even pulled my partner onto the road. Due to this extreme behaviour we took 1 on 1 lessons with Heather to ensure we learned basic commands and how to handle him. Within a couple of weeks we saw a huge improvement and were able to take him to  group classes. These were excellent for teaching him how to socialise with other dogs and reinforced the training. I have and would recommend Heather to anyone having behavioural problems with their dog or to anyone who wants their dog to listen to them a bit more."
Cheers

Having bought a Belgian Shepherd I knew that this breed needed to be socialised right from the start.  My reason for choosing Heather was that she has excellent experience and after reading other testimonials I knew I had made the correct choice. My Belgian, Kara was a wary little puppy but after attending 6 weeks socialisation the classes helped to build her confidence.  Kara went onto 10 weeks basic obedience and again with Heather’s support and guidance and with her expertise in training Kara is a very well balanced, mature 7 month old puppy. Any problems out with classes Heather is always available to give advice and support. The club also have days out for members which again I found to be valuable as it consists of training and socialisation for the dog’s and their handlers.  Kara has qualified for Cruft’s 2012, and has achieved her KC Bronze and I firmly believe it was down to Heather and her assistance in helping me to have a well trained dog.  I would definitely recommend Posh Pets as the training, advice and support is outstanding.  Thanks Heather for your continuing support Hazel and Kara.
